The MSB-118 is a high performance 8-port RS-232/422/485 universal serial board. Each port of the MSB-118 can be independently configured as RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 serial Interface by adjusting the on-board DIP switch.

16C950 Compatible High Speed UART

A high-performance 16C950 compatible UART chip with 128-byte FIFO is used for MSB-118 to improve the transmission throughput and reduce the host computer's CPU loading. Over 700Kbps data throughput for each port is guaranteed when all ports run concurrently.

Universal PCI Bus Compatible

The MSB-118 is an universal PCI board which means the board can be plugged into PCs with 5V 32-bit PCI slots or PCs with 3.3V 32-bit PCI slots.
