The Movicon projects are built with XML files to ensure openness, transparency, and high velocity. Every thing has been based on XML doing away with traditional import/export commands, as each single object or resource can now be dragged and dropped into other applications in XML format.
Complete object programming with a comfortable and extremely userfriendly working environment. The graphic libraries are simple, complete and customizable. The Power Template technology allows the more "complex" objects to be created and re-used.
Although based on Openness, the projects can also be "cripted" and protected, and are totally CFR21 Part 11 ready.
The innovative graphics are based on the SVG technology, the most highest performing vectorial technology of all those currently available today.
The drivers include extreme performance and innovative connectivity technology with the option to remote connect to devices via modem.
The importers allow the PLC's Tag database to be used for importing predefined variables to projects in order to avoid errors being made and to reduce time spent in developing project. In this way the variables will be already addressed to the PLC for the drivers.
Wizards can be used to auto-create projects, which can also be done with macros which can be set to allow users to auto-create entire projects in XML format.
The historical events and alarms management include diagnostic functions according to the ISA normatives, with event notifications via SMS, Voice, Email.
The Data Loggers are very efficient and very high performing with open databases due to the automatic and transparent integration of the ODBC technology (MsSQL Server, Oracle...) and the exclusive IMDB technology (InMemory DB in XML).
Trends are based on the vectorial technology and the historicals support ODBC or IMDB. The wide-rangiing versetility makes the Trends extremely powerful in analysing and representing data. Additional new functions allow further enhancement and increased performances.
The connectivity technologies permit information to be distributed, without obstacles getting in the way, with complete transparency and efficiency. TCP-IP, UDP and Http are supported along with the Web Services, dynamic exchanging via XML and ODBC.
Movicon includes the new OPC XML DA technology, in addition to the OPC DA Client and Server technology.
The logic guarantees the maximum freedom to customse using the integrated VBA languages (Visual Basic for Application comp.) with complete multithreading and debugging, and with the integrated SoftLogic (AEWL language similar to Simatic Step7) and visual Synapsis language.
The Web Client solutions offer access to and the viewing of projects via web by using any browser with any operating system which has been made possible by the Java technology support. The JavaPhones technology is also supported for accessing servers with mobile phones.
Complete project Debugger with simulation, forcing, analysing errors, break-points, traceability, backup. Remote Project Debugging can now be done in net, indispensable for WinCE project debuggin for example.
