SE5404-S5is to serwer portów szeregowych pełniący funkcję bramy sieciowej pomiędzy standardem Ethernet (TCP/IP) a czterema portami szeregowymi RS-422 lub RS-485 . Urządzenie posiada dwa porty Ethernet’owe w standardzie 10/100Mbps Fast i pozwala na podłączanie prawie każdego urządzenia do nowej lub już istniejącej sieci Ethernetowej.
